Viva la Electronica presents Bar 25 Special

Britta Arnold

Her first excursion to producing, was in 2006 together with Matt John for the Silverbird Casino CD-compilation. The first live act followed shortly after in the summer of 2006 in the bar25. As if that has not been a challenge at all, she couldn´t get enough (experience) and startet managing the label of this well known and extravagant club. That´s what she has been concentrating on the next three years. Always close to the puls of berlin techno and minimal sound. 

 Danny Faber

Danny Faber has been a well-respected DJ in the Berlin music scene for more than ten years. He started out running his own underground illegal parties in Berlin, which gave him great opportunity to evolve and refine his style during many of his never-ending afterparty DJ sets. One thing let to another and eventually Bar25 was born. Danny is also by running Bar25’s successful label and booking agency he quickly made a name of himself within Berlin and around Europe. Releases from Matt John, Daniel Dreier, Audion and Acid Pauli have found the label consistently breaking boundaries. 

Beaner

Beaner is a master at losing mobile phones and staying awake for long periods of time without the aid of stimulants. He enjoys masturbation, difficulty, overcoming odds, and tear-jerking finales. Together with C.L.A.W.S. he is WarVsSleep and is one third of supergroup the 3 Good Doctors with Agaric and Ed Davenport.

NU

A nomad of modern times, who has travelled the continents with his music, Nu is as diverse in his musical styles as he is welltravelled. Taking influences from his various homes, such as Switzerland, Germany or Peru, the producer and trained sound engineer branched out into various genres (deep house, hip hop, trip hop, ambient, experimental, dance and even film and dance theatre music composition). Through this years-long musical journey Nu then found his true calling: instrumentals amalgamated with his electronic production all held together through solid rythms.

Dirty Doering

Velten Doering aka Dirty Doering was born in Leipzig in 1978, but grew up in the Black Forest in southern Germany. He started DJing professionally at the age of 19, and soon followed his career to Berlin. He rose quickly as a part of the club and underground scene in Berlin, and soon the most influential locations such as „BAR25“ (resident).He created the label „Rauschenbach Music“ under which he producedes his own releases.

 Jake The Rapper

A New Media trollop for a stint, although Jake has always been more of a jack of all trades. Trades like comic artist, tattoo artist, animator, niceguy and wiseguy. But the music has always been the vehicle to propel him down the endless one way street that is life.

Niconé

Niconé was created in 2007 as a clever symbiosis of urban club and fashion culture. Producing a minimal sound with a dash of humour, where Helena's vocals set the outfit apart from the mainstream of never-ending minimal cuts, they are responsible for a string of releases shaping Berlin's metropolitan nightlife, such as the low-slung Bar 25 hymn 'Nur mal kurz'. With Alexander also responsible for the t-shirt designs they have acquired underground notoriety in the German capital and beyond. It's fashion and music.
